Broken keyway in crankshaft

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2008 HHR SS auto. I noticed a squeak under the hood that led me to a wobbly harmonic balancer. Upon removal I found the crankshaft key broken off flush with the cam gear. Just wondering what the best way to fix this would be. Thanks in advance!

Your gonna need to remove the chains and sprockets, you may possibly pop the key out with a chisel or punch , be very careful not to damage the block or crankshaft. The crankshaft sprockets are very different from the 2.2 or 2.4, they are not available from aftermarket.

Figure out how that happened so it doesn't repeat. Look like it may not be the correct size key.

It might be the wrong sprocket
