Was refered to some specialist from GM over the phone today. Dont really kno what the difference is between him and anyone else in CS. Feel like im getting jerked around now. Thought the law stated they had to manufacture and stock parts for 10 years?

A specialist is a person that is at a higher level than a customer service person. So from what you have posted, the agent has escalated your situation to a higher level to try to get this taken care of.

Actually, thres no spring behind it right now. Trying to fabricate myself som bushings. Caddy cost me almost an entire paycheck in gas this week :/

Have you tried the "Help" section at your local auto parts store? You might find some plastic bushings the same size.
Also could try any hardware store. Look in the "hard to find" or "specialty" sections.
You might get lucky and find something close or ones you could modify to fit.

As I expressed when talking with Michelle at Chevy, I do hope that issues like this parts shortage don't become an acute problem for HHR owners in years to come. But with the restructuring of GM, and the reduced level of spare parts production and warehousing, we might find ourselves becoming like the owners of Studebaker's and Hudson's who can sniff out a NOS bushing at 5 miles.

Try a salvage yard. You're on the east coast, there has to be dozens of them.
