Dome light replacement?

I have an '09 SS that has a sun roof. The housing where the dome lights are, also houses the controls for the sun roof. I am needing to change the bulbs. Any idea how to remove the old bulbs? Don't want to break anything!

Look in your Owner Manual, if you don't have one use the SEARCH box at the top of the page for a PDF manual.

The lens has a couple of tabs to press, the OM will show you where they are.

Thanks. Checked the PDF manual, however, it doesn't show how to change the bulbs. I really don't want to break the lens or the housing and the OM nor the PDF manual explain the procedure. I don't want to pay a dealer either.

I found this thread that may help. It has some pictures of the dome light with the lens removed.

Dome light

I hate to sound ungrateful because I'm not but that thread didn't show me how to remove the lenses, just that they do in fact come off. I appreciate all the reply's. Please keep them coming!!

OK, get up close to the lens and look for the indents somewhere around the edge. That is where you are supposed to gently insert a small plastic pry and pop it out. If you cannot see obvious points to do it, you are doomed to paying somebody.

If you look closely at the pics in the thread you may be able to see the tabs. It is not held in by magic, just friction. If you were to put your fingers on it and try to move it around you could probably see them. Sorry, it's something you have to learn by trying.

Got the lens off with a little persuasion and got the bulb out. When i put the new bulb in, it didn't work so it was all for nothing. Be careful putting the light back in as to not push the bulb housing back into the housing like I did. Finally got the original bulb back in. I'm done!! Thanks donbrew for your help.
