Drive Shafts
I need to replace the drive shafts on my 2008 HHR SS. The problem I am having is in finding replacements. According to my dealer there are only (2) left in the US and they are listed at (2) different dealers. We don't even know if the dealers are willing to give them up. The SS shafts are different than the LS & LT models. They are also different from the Cobalt SS shafts from what I am told. Is there anybody else that makes drive shafts for the HHR SS in the after market world? Has anybody else run into this problem? I am open to suggestions. kram6

We were just discussing this a couple days ago. There are aftermarket axles who claim to fit the SS, but we are all extremely skeptical. Here is the thread. Just google the GM part numbers, you'll probably find several sources, even Amazon sometimes has them.
