I haven't bought anything yet. I just trying to get correct pn's. Once I have them confirmed I'll buy some and hold onto them until I change engines.

Here is the deal ! The HHRSS requires 20.5mm Ball-joint Stud. All the others are 20mm. That .5mm makes all the difference. I tried all the local stores and purchased complete Control Arms from two Ebay sellers. One set was Moog and the other Delco. None fit. I even got the part number from the Delco site using the VIN number. Finally talking to the Delco main facility did i find the correct part number. These are Aluminum Arms with 2.5mm Stud. They are not sold in stores or on ebay as they are special item high performance. The Part Numbers are 25930724 and 25930725 . Using the incorrect arms is very dangerous as i can attest. Also you will want to buy a Knuckle Tool for $28.00 if you already installed the incorrect Arms or Ball-Joints, because, now the Knuckle will require to be spread very wide to install the correct ones, and this tool does it fast and easy. Assuming the Knuckle is not damaged already from the incorrect Ball-Joints. Most of the HHRSS parts in the suspension are much stronger that a standard HHR. The CV shafts for instance are much larger and can handle high horsepower. And these also are hard to find in any local store as they will say they have it but when you go there you will find they are much smaller. And as for Ebay , i have found after ordering many many Auto parts that the drop down boxes where you choose Year, Make, Model, Body, Motor are very inaccurate in 50% of the cases. Amazon is slightly better. I have wasted countless hours ordering Auto parts from Ebay.

So, you are saying that if you had looked here : https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/comm...-part-i-48833/ you would have had the correct information in a few minutes.

Lower Control Arm - SS models ONLY (FE5 suspension)
IMPORTANT: they are only available thru GM - No after-market suppliers make a compatible part at this time, even though they may say the parts they have are for all HHR's
- GM - P/N: 25930724 - Right
- GM - P/N: 25930725 - Left
(note: Do NOT substitute a FE1 or FE3 LCA - the ball joint stub on them is not compatible with the spindle on a FE5/SS)
I have now added the stud sizes so it is on record now. I have been saying for some time now that the parts books are wrong in many HHR parts, especially SS. But, that is another instance of my invisibility.
For instance: sway bar links are just wrong and they insist there is a difference between FE1 & FE3 LCAs but also insist FE5 is the same as both.

I don't know what this means. What site? don't match what?

Do you mean that you were incorrect about the size of the stud?
