Sick1 nice to know another HHR SS owner that is a NRA member :-)
One thing to also consider is that there was a TSB out with some of the manual transmisiion cases cracking and getting trans fluid on the clutch. I'm sure you will be happy with the after market clutch but you would be well served to make sure the trans case isn't cracked. If it is then you are due another failure expecially with a clutch that hooks harder than the stock one.

Thanks for the heads up Russ, I will make sure the dealership checks that out.

Why install the stage if you have a tuner? is the HP Tuner not getting the power you want?

I was under the assumption that one could get more power with the stage 1 and an HP tune, then by an HP tune alone. Is that an incorrect assumption?

You can make a slight amount more HP and a little more torque, but the stage kit gives you the ability to command more than 22psi and will hold a little more to redline. At this time, unless your going for a bigger turbo soon, I wouldn't WASTE the money buying the stage kit from GM, also, you can buy the sensors and map pigtails from performance autowerks for $80 and use 2 more credits to unlock a stage tune and flash it to your car. So $180 to tune a stage upgrade aswell lmao.

Update: Had the clutch installed last week by a GM Dealership. Makes a huge difference, like a whole different car now. Pedal was stupid stiff for a couple of days, and has loosened up quite a bit (or I'm just getting used to it). Haven't "got on it" yet, may be ready for that at the end of the week. Thanks for all the help guys
