I never found any manufacturer making struts that fit the SS besides OEM (Sachs). I have a set of rear SS shocks in my garage if anyone wants them. New, in box.. No struts, though, or I'd send them free to you... My garage needs help.

Yes. You can get them from other places. What I meant was there are no aftermarket FE5 struts such as Monroe, KYB etc. You have to get the Chevy, ACDelco or whatever they're branded to get the true FE5's.
I didn't mean you had to go to a Chevy dealer

Don’t worry George, we know you’d never be mean enough to send us to a dealer!
We’ll be good!

Still haven't found the problem. Pedders USA is checking with the home office in Australia. I'll update once we get to the bottom of the issue.

So. What are those fenderwell measurements ? Hard for me to do any comparisons without the numbers.

This is what Pedders originally asked for, and the measurement was 22 inches.

After providing this information to them, this was the response I received:

Hi Greg,

I passed the info to our Australian home office, but unfortunately, they did not have too many answers for us. These springs were originally designed for the Chevy Cobalt/G5. The R&D and fit up of the these springs were done by the previous Pedders USA entity that shut down years ago and we no longer have the data.

We apologize we couldn’t have been of more assistance.

I'm now checking with Powell Racing about a set of springs from them and also asked Pedders if they have any coilovers I could put up front so I could adjust the ride height.

We'll see what happens next.

Did you talk to ZZP about their springs that you already bought?

22 inches ? I don't even see how that's possible with stock size tires. Seems that the front air dam below the bumper would be dragging the pavement. The front tires would be so far up inside the wheel well that they should be scrapping on the plastic liner.
Got any pictures of this ?
