Apparently I have a bad relay as well...but the other direction. My fan now kicks on at 194 so basically it runs all the time. I have extended warranty to 72k and I'm at 51k now and I'm actually considering waiting till it burns out the fan and get them both replaced. I don't know how long it's been cutting on too early and I fear the fan life has been greatly reduced but till the fan actually dies I know GM won't replace the fan out of good faith.

 

My fan went out totally this past july temp gauge went to red luckly i was on my way to work and only 2 miles from dealer. Then relay was sending bad code on and off it would come on and then clear itself so i put off going to dealer plus i thought it might be my air intake. After i installed OEM air box to see if i still get code and after 2 weeks the code came back till finally it stayed on and didn't go away i took it to dealer that extended warranty helped alot. Already got a call to dealer warranty dept to extended it further.
