I should also say, check the connections there and also make sure they are not corroded.

your valves could have carbon build up on them....there is a thread in the cobaalt forum about the valves gettting carbon build up related to colder climates. seafoam may help

I'm following that thread myself if you noticed, I'm waiting to see if anyone has a how-to as far as Seafoam for us HHR SS owners, or if it's the same procedure as done wiuth the Cobalt SS/TC.

I believe it is the same procedure as the cobalt. I have only used seafoam in the gas. I've been told to do 1/3 in the manifold through the vacuum line.....carefully DON'T HYDROLOCK YOUR ENGINE...add 1/3 to the oil and 1/3 in the gas then drive for 200-300 miles and do an oil change.

I am gonna do mine very soon as well so i wanna make sure myself

Exactly, I've no clue as to which is the correct vacuum line so I'd rather see a how to so I don't do anything to screw up my car; that's the LAST thing I need.
