Thank you donbrew. I will clear the codes and see if they come back. Do you think back on my first issue that I should be looking at the bypass solenoid due to its only noticeable on deceleration?

I'm going to guess that it has something to do with DFCO. Here is a good post by JoeR about it. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/2-4l...e2/#post293975

that my friend is the closest I’ve seen thus far to what it may be. This bit is what I found interesting,
• During an extended, high speed, closed throttle coast down--This reduces emissions and increases engine braking.

Doesn't have to be that long (3 sec. noted above), nor high speed. Yes, it does reduce emissions (no gas = no emissions). Engine braking is enhanced.
On a manual trans you can actually feel when the DFCO kicks in. Helps ecomomy, too, since if you aren't putting any fuel into the engine...

I wonder if with one of the sensors that help control that like the MAF, TPS or MAP is dirty or going bad that it would intensify the feeling which is why it feels like a hiccup. I’m going to try this weekend to clean the MAF and see if it calms it down. I’m also going to check for vacuum leaks because I ran a smog test with my scanner and there is a fault with the EVAP system so in hopes with this information and the cleaning and the checks I can tone it down but knowing I will most likely feel something eases my mind some. Thank you so much RJ RS SS 350.

Bypass valve and wastegate are the same animal. If your talking inside the turbo itself.

I stand corrected.
Worked on too many turbo engines that didn't have the bypass valve like the ones pictured. Caterpillar turbo's have a wastegate only and some people would refer to it as a bypass valve also.
