Recently purchased a 2009 HHR SS with GMPP LSD and brembos. The clutch take up point it like 1/4" off the floor. Take up is very smooth, no chatter and the clutch doesnt slip at all. Car has 125k on the clock. If i dont depress clutch almost to the floor the shifting is a little tough especially 2-3 and 4-5. If i double clutch shift it is much smoother. In a perfect world i would love the take up around 1/2 way up the travel range. Just trying to determine if it is a Hydraulic issue or time for a new clutch. Anyone have experience similar to this? Sounds like it may have air in the system. Maybe try bleeding it.
