Hey All,
I wanted the performance package with Brembos when I got my '09 SS but no luck. Now I am thinking about upgrading the fronts. Any ideas what I'll need besides the calipers? Do I have to buy rotors, lines, bolts, etc. too, or will the calipers just bolt on to the existing parts? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I was looking into this myself and after doing a bit of research I found this "kit".

As far as I know that is what us non-Brembo SS drivers would need to make the switch.

Yep, that looks like the parts you will need, but not sure about the hub spacers? That kit is for a Cobalt, there might be a HHR specific kit?

looks like we need a little more that just calipers? But jrtv4's price is good, wonder if he has the lines and such ? Do the size or the rotors change ? Anybody ever drive one ? Do they work a lot better ?

Ordered mine with Brembos, Love them, when I'm over a 100 on a short stretch of road its great to know your going to stop and fast before you get to the stop sign

I love brembos but one draw back can't run anything smaller then 17" wheel. So if live up north you can't use steelies or running a 16" slicks at the track.

Depends on how you drive it... I have the standard brakes and the tires will give up traction way before the brakes lose stopping power, If you race or do many consectutive high speed stops in a short time, that's where the brembos would excel. They don't heat up and fade as fast as the stanard (smaller) brakes. I would love to have the brembos for the bling factor, but don't really NEED them for my driving style which may have a few high speed stops in a short time, but not enough to justify Brembos. AND, as other have said, it will prohibit using anything less than 17" wheels, which gets expensive if you ever plan on putting snows on.
