Michelle, thank you for responding. I am pleasantly surprised to see your post.

I drive a lot now and after the GM reorg, I got to meet new people and go new places.

The car I get will have to be a great mileage car with REAR WHEEL DRIVE. That was another issue I had with the HHR. Torque steer drove me nuts, but normal for FWD. I regret that after being a loyal GM owner/employee (Medium Duty Division -GMICT) there is nothing GM offers now that I can afford or comes close to the performance (handling/Braking/MPG) of the HHR-SS. For the most part, the HHR spoiled me. My first one was a Panel and I loved it. Never any problems. When I saw the SS, I knew I had to have one.. So where do I go from here? Well, still have to see IF the latest attempts fixed my car.. No confidence here. If not, well it has to go, but I will have to research alternatives. While everyone else increases horsepower and MPG, GM has reduced engine sizes and horse power for only a few more MPG. The Cruze is only 2-4 mpg better, but with half the horse power and no performance handling or braking. Then in my mind it is also to plain. I'm a enthusiast and I want a fun to drive car that is not a belly button (everyone has one). The Cruze and other offerings GM has are just not there. Nothing has replaced the HHR SS. Bean counters said sales were not where they wanted them...I'm not a bread and butter car driver. I spend to much windshield time in a car for it to be boring. Your suggestions are very welcomed. Thank you.... You don't have a 5 spd panel stashed any place do you???? LOL Last time I was at Milford, they had a neat Holden Ute cruising around.. Wanna sell it to me...LOL.

If I've missed something let me know, but I am truly at a loss right now.

Well, let's add to the pain...Front rotors warped, parts still not here for the shifter repair.Down since November 9th or 10, I don't remember anymore. I knew about the rotors before and this is an EXPECTED repair.. we talked about it here before. Just venting now..Glad I have a back up vehicle (1948 Plymouth..LOL) to drive...It is Chevy powered though... Glad its the holidays.. slow season...only two shows a week... Ho Ho Ho...

Well as an update to the original problem, my car hasn't lost boost in quite awhile, but it has started showing the P0099 code quite often. I went ahead and got the lower TMAP sensor more clearance and so far after a few drives no code has returned. Hopefully that is solved.
Now on the newer issue, it appears to be using coolant and I can find no external leak. In addition, while poking around looking for a coolant leak I found 2 different oil leaks! It's going to the dealer tomorrow to have those issues looked at, and hopefully powertrain will cover most of them. I understand it would not cover the coolant issue if there is a leaky hose or something like that but it should cover just about anything else.

Got my car back last week. Drove it to the John Force show. Ran perfectly. On the drive home, set the cruise at 65mph and the DIC showed 38mpg when I got off the freeway..100+ miles... The dealer called to check up on it...I told him the car was acting strange....it was running good! Per the dealer, soldered the lower connector and repositioned the wire. Something I had asked the installing dealer (Connell in Costa Mesa, CA) to do, but they didn't listen. Thanks Paradise Chevy and Steve in Oxnard,CA.

A special thanks to ChevroletCustomerService for contacting me and assisting.

@Hotrodbob, the pleasure was all mine! I’m very happy that the vehicle is running well since having it to the dealership. Would you like me to forward a compliment to them?

Well, just got the call from the dealer. They couldn't locate any coolant leak and it pressure tested OK, so they put in the GM pellets and dye and told me to keep an eye on it. What I thought was an engine oil leak was a busted axle apparently. The seal was bad and it leaked. That was fixed under powertrain warranty already this morning. No charge for any of it so I'm happy.

Now I just have to wait for it to use a bit more coolant, and assuming it does I'll take it back in. The dye should make it easier to tell if it's an external leak or something internal.
