Weird intermittant loss of power
That's it in a nutshell...Seat height. Getting in and out was a pain. I'm 58 and in good shape but I'd bet just this cost a lot of potential sales with the customer base becoming older. The engine buzzed through the steering wheel noticeably in first and second. VERY weak acceleration in the higher gears. When it kicked down the RPM shot up but gaining speed was S...L...O...W...! No cruise control? Really? That alone would stop me from ever even considering this particular automobile.

Noticed a slight hesitation at cruise in lower RPM range. Lost a couple MPG. That went on about a week. Finally got CEL. Scanned via Torque Pro and el cheapo blue tooth adaptor.
Fault Log Manager reported P0236-Powertrain Turbo/Supercharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance.
Zero boost at this point. Reset CEL and boost came back but symptoms returned in a couple days. Used Onstar to connect to my dealer and they transferred faults to dealer.
Other than being without my SS for a little over a week, getting the work done was painless. Kudos to George Weber!

My SS has done the same thing. Dealer is stumped, but that's only part of the problem. 9 codes set the last time.
Now as far as the Crappy Cruze... 1/2 the HP, only 2-4 mpg better at best. No sport options so it handles poorly and cost the same new as my SS did. Other then that its a great car for someone else.

While I was checking the car over today though I noticed that the coolant was low. I check it periodically so this is a new development. I'll have to keep an eye on that now and hopefully it's just a small external leak that I haven't found yet. Otherwise this car may have to go. I've about had enough with it.

Bob, thats the kind of repair I'm afraid of. I've had coolant usage twice before like this on previous cars. once turned out to be a head gasket and on the other car it was an intake gasket slowly leaking.
Ok, the dealer didn't call me so I called them. Good news(?) engine runs great....so far, but they really didn't get to drive it far because the Tech broke the shift cable on the test drive. Parts on order.. been down since Nov 9th now. Once I get it back it will be time to move on to an old car I can work on... I'm done with the HHR...I can't afford a $20k paper weight.
