When the engine light comes on...
Thanks guys. I'm beyond excited to have it back!!
But I have a trip to Tenn coming up and now I can't take it. Because of below.
Oh yeah... going to keep it running well and just around town where I can keep the RPM varied and no cruise. Then dump the motor oil again at 1k.

Glad to hear yours was all well and that they fixed it right. I am shocked when you called with a check engine they let you wait to bring it in. I called when mine turned on and I was told to bring it in that night straight from work and not to drive it. (Mine was turbo and wastegate failure) but that was what they wanted me to do in case it was something else.
Understand it was labor day weekend, Friday evening and I was 20 mins out, they were closing in 10. Plus I wanted a loaner car. The car was driving fine at that point. This was a truely a silent killer.
Yeah then that makes a bit more sense on the delay in bringing it in.
Ok so I got the car back and all is mostly good. 2 issues.
First is the easiest.
My hot side turbo tube that runs from the turbo to the intercooler. There is a small retaining mount under the bottom of it, that bolts to the motor. The clip doesn't seem to be attached to the tube anymore. The dealership mechanic said it never was, but I disagree cause I don't remember it being completely loose. They said it simply rests there. I don't buy it and told them that, the service manager is looking into it.
Can another SS guy please confirm that you're is in deed firmly mounted and not loose????
Second... prior to the motor removal, my stage 1 was running 22-23psi boost. Now it's running 18-19 psi on my digital gauge (stock for 2010). I made the dealer take the car back, and they went round and round with GM tech services and engineers. They also drove it and said they show it making 280-290hp which is on spec per GM Tech services and some engineer. That perhaps something with the old motor blowing itself to bits was creating more back pressure and therefor more boost psi.
What is normal for the stage 1 psi? Heck, what's normal crank power (hp/tq)??
TNX in advance!!!!!

2) "Normal" boost for the GMTU should be 22-24 psi max. IIRC for a 5sp typical upgrade numbers are 290hp, 290 lbs/tq (or is it 325??) on the upgrade alone. Automatics run 260hp, 290 lbs/tq on the GMTU. I'm running on 4 hrs of sleep so forgive me if my numbers are off a tad.
