$750 replacement tires from dealer?

When I swapped rims I bought new tpms, but the oem's would of been keepers. I just left them on the stock rims. My tire guy told me the oem batteries last 5 years but the tpms only comes into play when the car is in motion. My car at times has sit for lengthy periods and my tpms are probably long life products.

I've seen OEM sensors on Ebay for around $130

A) I don't see where you state the dealer told you to replace TPMS senders.
B) The OEM tires should be good for 70,000 miles, what is causing the premature wear?
C) Yes, you do need to replace the tires with Like Kind Size and Quality as the OE tires.
D) If you buy the OEM Firestone tires, you will be paying upwards of $750. BUT, if you go to a Firestone dealer right now they have buy 3 get 4 Affinity's on sale, usually around $450 installed (YMMV). There is a price difference between the regular Affinity and the OEM Affinity.
