17inch Tires$$$$$

I couldn't believe it. I'm pricing some replacement tires for this thing. An average of $150 a piece. Whatever car a get from now on will not have these 17inch wheels.

Paid $580 installed for BFGoodrich T/A's at Wal-mart (145 ea installed). There was at least one tire cheaper available through tirerack.

Well the more digging I'm doing, the better I feel. Big O has some reasonable deals. Shoot thes tires cost more than the truck I had. I think $100 is fair. Sure they aren't some Goodyear Eagle status thing at $500 each but should be fine for the driving i do.

Riken is actually a good tire for the price. Riken is built by Michelin in the BFG/Uniroyal plant. Seen some pretty good results from Riken. I will be replacing my Goodyear Eagle F1's sometime next year, and since I'm not in the biz anymore I will have to pay regular price for them. Around $185.00 ea right now. I only paid $107.00 employee cost when I was in the biz.

That is where I went. I got the Yokohama AS430s. Very good tire IMO, and I'm extremely happy with them. They are directional, and have GREAT wet traction, and do well in snow. I also noticed a difference in cornering over the stock firestones. If I remember right, they were around $120 a piece. Total bill was a bit over $500. The treadlife is 60,000 miles if memory serves me right.

$88 Fuzion 17" tire at Tire Rack:

IMHO however, it is worth paying a few extra dollars for the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires. They are truly worth it! EXCELLENT on wet and dry pavement!!! Good in the snow too. Remember, tires are your life line. Good tires and good brakes will keep you safe. The Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires are $149 each at Tire Rack:
