X3 to Oldblue and the other moderators and regulars - a remarkable community of extremely helpful people!!
Love those rims and a very tasteful lowering - with the debadging it's an excellent combination! LOVE the white as well - is that a pearlescent white? Very nice indeed.

Sorry I missed this... and thank you, I like a smooth and subtle approach to customization... the paint is Cappuccino Frost Metallic, only used on 2007 Premier Edition HHR's. Basically pearl white with a slight hue of silver/grey.

Plenty of strut clearance... 235/40-18's are very close in diameter to the factory tires, only slightly wider. I went with them because I wanted a little more rubber than the recommended 225's for a better ride and better rim protection. The extra width looks great too on the HHR, and they still have just a little side wall stretch. They also fill the wheel-wells better. They are the perfect 18x8" tire size for the HHR, IMO.
245's will fit from what I have heard, but I'm sure that's a case by case basis depending on wheel offset and width. My HHR is a daily driver, so I'm not concerned about maximum width... that, and if I went any wider the sidewalls would be square with the wheel rims. Not a good look. That's why I choose the 235/40's. And they were WAY cheaper too.
