215/45/18 on soltice wheels?
anyone running this tire size? it SHOULD work on an 8" wide rim, as i have 215/35/18s on 18x7.5s on my MINI and the tire doesnt look stretched...might be able to fit 225/45/18 (or 40)..
this isnt for my hhr, but just curious if anyone's running a 215 on their solstice (or any other 18x8 wheel for that matter)

Both the 215/45/18 and the 215/35/18 are usable on rims with widths of 6 to 8 inches, 8 inches is the maximum recommended width with a 215mm section width. 225/45/18 tires are best on rims of 6.5 to 8.5 inches wide, so you can run all of the sizes on 18 x 8 rims. Now whether you'll have clearance problems or tire rubs, can't answer that.
