Room for what? The lower spring perch is the rub point.

I’m m not 100 % but the perch plate on the air struts appears to be a smaller diameter, but still not enough for 22” rims.

Members here long ago added 20's & said they rode like concrete in tires, & rubbed, were not happy. Just FYI.. & potholes are rim & tire killers.

Oh, 22 inch rims will fit, Just NOT with tires.
