Ok so I am starting to get some rust spots on the rear caps. I believe the road salt is the culprit. May look into a full disk wheel cover. Maybe easier to maintain than the baby moons

Couple of my moon caps have gotten little rusty and
that was with out seeing any road salt.

Looks like the aftermarket -repro hubcaps I had on my V-W van. I painted the inside of them and waxed the outside regularly and they still got rust spots after a couple years. Solution , I bought a set of used johnoriginal V-W hubcaps and sent them to a chrome shop. $100 a piece and I have a set of caps that will last forever...

Well, i clear coated them and the salt ate through that and started rusting them.
