The SS has a 7.5" wheel with 42mm offset, so the inner edge of the wheel is 137.25mm from the hub bolting surface.

Your 8.5" wheel with 20mm offset the inner edge of the wheel will be 127.95mm from the hub bolting surface.

With the 225/35/20 tire, you are right at the maximum overall height of 26.2", so it should not rub on the suspension. However, it will be protruding outside of the hub bolting surface by 34.7mm more than the SS wheel. So you may be rubbing on the fender. Any spacers will make it worse.

And aradmahogany is correct, 225 is awfully narrow for a 8.5 inch wheel. But if you go any wider, then you will probably rub on the suspension. And a 35% sidewall will give an extremely harsh ride.

Not to mention that the rim will be taking the brunt of the force should you hit a pothole or an unlucky crossing animal, which usually leads to a bent rim. Tire life will also be effected. Take all these in consideration and see if the look is worth all the negatives. If you look at the market with cars sold with low profile large rims, such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, bent rims are among the most common type of damage
