I have an '07 Fall Limited which, of course, has black chrome trim. Imagine my surprise when I was washing it today and noticed that the "black chrome" is beginning to peel off of two of my wheels. I guess I never realized it was just a clearcoat or never really thought about it. Anyone else have this problem? I'm sure there's not solution for it either except for new wheels. Hmmmm.

 

Some dealers have vendors that will refinish them. But it is expensive and time consuming (if you have no spare wheels or another vehicle, you will be SOL).


IF YOU ARE RELATIVELY HANDY WITH A SPRAY GUN, there are several companies that provide materials for DIY. Some are very much better than others....and price IS an indicator....JMO
