Black Chrome Grill and Golden Teal

Has anyone done this combo and if so any pics? I'm toying with the idea as when Town Fair scratched my OEM 16" rims they offered to replaced them. Well the replacements sort of have a gloss over them from the clear and they are a darker color...something in the process of re manufacturing them they come out looking darker.

I was toying with the black chrome a few years ago and maybe this will push me to it.

What do you think? Good color match or sorta ugly?

Thanks

If your gonna do it, you need to replace all the bright chrome with the black chrome. It will probably look pretty good as a contrast.

I think it would look good. I think the black chrome would look good any color, but then agian I have it on mine, mine is white so it went well with it.

Goose-
There have been some problems reported with the black chrome starting to peel so be careful. Most of the problems I remember seemed to come from the Northeast states, where you are. I never had any problems out here in Cali until last winter. One of my door handles started to peel a little after removing snow from the car on 2 occasions that I left it out of the garage. Just be aware that it's a possibility. You can probably find the problems reported with a search if you're interested.

Yeah I have heard that...well I waited too long to get the black chrome grill...it is gone and I ain't shelling out the cash the GM wants for one...is it me or is this wheel darker than the OEM ones? Glossy too.....I'm not sure I like the looke with the bright chrome package and the center caps will look lighter too...

You can always get ALL the rims powdercoated, or do a rattlecan paintjob if you're so inclined.....

I've got a black chrome grill, door handles and 17 inch wheels on my Cardinal Red Metallic 08 LT1 when I bought the car almost 2 years ago. Looks real good with this color. No problems at all with the finish on any parts. Check out my private album photos.
