HA! I had mine off the other day while painting the drums and was looking at the back side of them and had this exact thought.

Okay, you are going to buy wheels..... I thought you had them and they were stock to your '07.

If you had an '07 2LT you would have had the polished alloy wheels that I was talking about. I've got a set on my back deck, they are my winter wheels...... Nice stuff, Worth NOT painting.

For those, I wouldn't bother. If they were the polished ones, you could have them bead blasted or something and then paint or whatever. With the plastic, not sure how that would turn out. Since you don't have them yet, I'd just look aftermarket if you don't want the chrome. I think you would end up with a better product at a lower cost to you. Now if you already had this, the suggestion of breaking the cap off and powercoating would be an option. No clue what the actual wheel looks like under the cap though.
