Yeah I keep the car spotless and now with a garage to call my own with a hose I wont have to go to work everytime I want to wash it (I refuse to use car washes). I have a set of steelies and Blizzaks for winter so next spring I plan on doing a nice clean up on them before putting them on. Upkeep is the main reason I didnt clear coat the wheels, I dont want to be sanding and polishing them every year

I think the wheels look good on the car. I drive a 2LT also and I personally like it alot. I agree with you.... If you like it than thats all that matters.

He's not going to.

There will be always be fake badgers, and people who will always strongly dislike fake badging. The two camps are never going to see eye-to-eye on it, and the middle-of-the-road, it's-his-ride-who-cares crowd is going to side with the fake badger, so as I've learned, it's not going to accomplish anything to point out why one thinks fake badging is kinda weak.

I like the wheels! I own an ss and think it's ok to badge an lt. Do what want, screw everyone who doesn't like it. Some people think ss makes their personal package bigger, and the ones who are really investing in power have removed the ss entirely. I like it. And you seem to have a better head on your shoulders than most of us did at twenty! Keep it up and one day you'll have that Merc..

Nice wheels I keep saying I'll get my SS/SC wheels powdercoated black someday.

I don't get the whole imposter thing.
The first thing I did to mine was shave the badging off the hatch so if a cop pulls up behind he won't pester the turbo car.
SS on the sides stands for Super Sleeper

It's fine if you and others don't have a problem with fake badging, but just because some of us aren't big fans of it doesn't mean we're SS snobs, or have low IQs, or have nothing nice to say. I said I liked his rims, and I do...minus the SS badges, I like his ride overall. Has it reached the point that no one is allowed to negatively critique any singular aspect of someone else's HHR? I'm sure there are things about my HHR that some people won't be into...I'm fine with them telling me that...isn't that part of what the point of having a site like this is? To exchange ideas, even if we don't always agree?

I bought my SS for one reason and one reason only: because I loved it on first sight and first drive; fortunately, it fit within my budget to buy it. It had nothing to do with trying to prove anything or trying to find a way to automotively augment my package, or finding a reason to look down on LS or LT owners. I've already said I've seen some LSes and LTs that look awesome...it's not like I dismiss them from my mind because they're not SSes.

Woo dude, nothing directed at you devils. My statement not yours. And I was speaking from experience. I used to have a 5.0 Lx, and I would get a ton of flack from 5.0GT owners, all because it didn't have skirting, and I had the ass end jacked up with air shocks and 50's. Didn't matter that my car was faster, what mattered to the Mustang crowd at the time, Paxton superchargers and skirting. And yes from my forty years experience in the arts world... When someone doesn't like something and are adamant about it, it's because they are jealous.

Point being, it's your car do what you want.... Cover the dam thing in SS badges and take it to burning man, or bonnaroo. If it causes conversation, job well done.
