Leaky Wheels
Since day one, my two rear wheels lose 10-15 psi every week, and both right and left side lose the same amount. The front two never lose pressure, and almost never need adjustment. The rate of pressure loss is consistent for the rear wheels, and just so happens that I must add 10-15 psi every Sunday evening in preparation for the week ahead. Has anyone noticed the same problem with their SS wheels--especially front vs. rear? Even stranger... the wheels don't seem to lose much Monday through Friday, but when it sits for a day, then I notice a dramatic pressure loss. Any thoughts, fellow SS brethren?
MIne was only the right rear, but same problem here.
Mine was left front and right rear. Dealer fixed it on the first try, almost a year ago. So far, so good.
My 2 cents on tire pressure, rule of thumb: higher pressure= quicker turn-in and better road feel
lower pressure=better traction and smoother ride
It's a matter of personal preference and priorities. A little trial & error goes a long way. Always keeping in mind that tire pressure affects load rating, a good compromise can be reached.
