New tires for 2007 2.4L

First time poster here! Does anyone have a good recommendation as to what kind of tires I should buy to replace the ones I have on my 2007 2.4L LT HHR?? I've put about 66,000 miles on my 215/50R17 tires and it's definitely time to change them. I don't know much about the different brands or really about anything regarding what makes one tire better than another. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!

Check out tirerack.com you can compare several tire choices and get customer reviews on most tires.

Thanks Rad, I'll take a look at that site. My only fear was getting a new set of tires that might worsen my car's performance/handling. I'll do some comparisons on that site and see what I come up with. If anyone else has any suggestions for tires, let me know. Thanks again Rad!

I just put some new tires on our 07 2LT a few weeks ago. I went some called Toyo Versado LX. So far they are very quiet and smooth. They handle a lot better than the Firestones. We also had our first snow, and rain on them last week and they did fine. No problems at all. Braking is way better than the Firestones also. You might check them out on Toyo's web site. Can't say much about the tread life yet. I admit I was skeptical because of the name Toyo but they have been great so far. The tire shop that put them on was also high on a tire Riken Raptor ZR for a good priced performance tire. My wife drives ours mostly with my kids so I wanted her to have a bit less aggressive tire, that I knew would be very quiet but still handle pretty good.

On my Camaro I have Yokohama AVS ES100's. My Mom also has then on her Vette, and my Dads 97 WS6. IMO those things really rock. They handle awesome but not so much on the light snow.

I've just put on Bridgestone Potenza G019s on my 06 2LT (2.4). Kept the OEM size, so I can give a realistic analysis of the new treads.

The Potenzas are definitely much better! They are much quieter, much smoother, and handles much better!!

It also didn't hurt that I paid nearly half price for the full set!
