New wheels and tires on my 2007 Fall Edition

Hi all. I don't post much here but I do use the site a lot for reference and tips. I'd like to thank all that recommended the Kumho Solus KH16 tires. They are KILLER!

So here's my story....

Finally got rid of the crap Firestone Firehawk GTA tires and at the same time, due to the lovely potholes here in NJ, I also had to get new wheels. 2 of my stock black chrome wheels were cracked (causing slow leaks) and there was no way I was going to pay $500 each for replacements from GM! Couldn't find any locally or on eBay. So, I went with Sport Tuning T5 17x7.5 Wheels (standard 5x110 bolt pattern and 42 offset) and beefed up my tires from the stock size of 215/50/17 up to the 225/50/17. I really wanted to keep the car original with the stock wheels but hey, **** happens. I think the wheels look great and the Kumho Solus tires are amazing. The wheels were $104 each from tirerack.com and the tires were $126 each from Sears installed. Not bad.

I will be listing the other 2 wheels for sale here sometime this week. They are in near perfect condition.

the 225/50/17 Kumho KH16 tires really make a world of difference. GM should be ashamed of themselves for using those **** OEM Firestones
