Non-stock tire size

I have an '07 2LT which has 215x50x17s on it, the stock size. I found a good deal on a used set of Continental all-weather tires. I was thinking of throwing them on my winter wheels, but they are a little different size, 225x45x17. Will this cause any problems other than making the speedo run a little faster than my actual speed?

No problems other than slight speed-0 diff. ..

I've been running 225/50/17 for a few years now.. Which are of course taller, & yours are shorter than our stockers..

I run 215-60X16 instead of 215-55X16 on my LT, when the speedo says 65MPH the GPS says 68MPH.

I'm current running 245/40R18's. Stocks were 215/55R16. I've also run 225/40R18 and 225/45R18.

You just need to know what your speed is. If you have a GPS, your covered.
