I did a quick search through the mobile site through my phone and didn't see a result for definitive answer to my question.

I got a lot of solstice wheel threads with backspacing questions and I think I saw a post about the stock 17" wheels being 42mm offset? My question is, will the wheel specs posted below fit on my 2011 1Lt? The only suspension mod I have is canuck springs. The wheel specs are...Size: 17x7.5
Offset: 42mm
Backspacing: 6.10"
Bolt Pattern: 5-110
Rec. Tire Size: 205/50-17
Weight: 21.8lbs.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I believe they'll work for you, HHR's will tolerate 38-42mm offsets, and the rims you're considering have the proper 5x110mm bolt pattern.

Just remember that the O.D. of the tires cannot exceed 26-26.2", or the inner sidewalls will foul on the lower front spring perches, causing nearly instant tire damage.

 

Stock 17 inch LT rims will fit all years 06 to 11, unless you swapped a set of Brembo brakes up front, they require the SS 18 inch rims

Don't forget to torque them, 100 ft lbs!

 

And recheck the torque after about 50 miles, and then again after 250 miles of driving, you'll be surprised to see how much the lugs back off initially.

 

I some times get apart an 1/8 th to a 1/4 of a turn on the WV rally rims
And an 1/8 th turn on the stock steelies

 

I would suggest a taller tire than the 205/50/17. That size specs out right at 25 inches.
A little taller tire will have more sidewall which should give a better ride.

 

And a bit taller 26 inch tire givesore circumference, which give better fuel mileage.

The wheels I'm looking at have that sized tire mounted and were used for a couple of winter seasons. I really don't think I'll be running those tires since they are snow tires, but it's a package deal. Living here in south Texas I doubt I'll ever see snow again in my life time.
