Do the Dupont Wheel paints they have out now, might be kinda pricey but have heard its suppose to hold up really well or Get out the yellow pagess and do a search for powder coaters done in that area. There is gotta be someplace down there.

It's all about cost I guess? I just googled powder coaters dayton ohio and found a good half dozen in your neighborhood! T & L powder coaters on Stanley Ave? There their if you really want it done but you want it for as cheap as possible? Go ahead and paint them as it is the cheapest way to get what you want no matter the quality or life of the work!

Look for "Industrial Coatings" or "painting" or in the "auto" part of the yellow pages for starters. You wont ever get anything done if you dont put forth the effort. You cant expect everyone on this forum to hold your hand all the time or find things for you.

I was thinking, and my girlfriend agrees, I should paint the rims to match and seal them. Put chrome accent rings around the lip.

I've done a lot of rims, some rattle can, some with a gun. They are fine if you do a good job, and expect it not to last forever. When I was 20 something re-painting the wheels every few years, or even every year was not a problem and a way to radically change the look of the car if a different color and different trim were used. If you're not sure about a color, don't go powder coat.... try it painted first. If you know what you want and want them to last, powder coat.

You can seal them , Clear them, What ever , The spray will not last.
Been there and done it..
The harsh winters will kill them . I did mine last May (think it was may) and they have lots of chips already. If your swaping out for winter they might be ok.

It was cheap and easy , But IMO not worth the time and energy. So If you want to respray them after winters , You'll be fine . ( i'll be recoating mine when (if) it warms up).

And i will powdercoat next time.
