i am very happy with how the setup turned out. the silver is like a machined finish similar to what the stock wheels look like.....really sets it off imo

im cleaning the car up tomorrow and will post some more pics

They are not a quiet tire at all. That is why I went with Nitto Invos on my HHR instead. They start off pretty quiet, but once they start to wear they will start to howl. On my V-8 toys I use them because you don't hear them over the exhaust, but even with an exhaust on an HHR they will still be heard.

They are a great UHP tire, but because of that they have a tread design that doesn't do anything to attempt to quiet it down. The tread goes almost directly from the center of the tire, right out to the sidewall with no sound break

i have no complaints so far. as i stated earlier i wanted something that would grip but not burn up in 8k or i woulda gone with mt dr's. i don't notice any noise but over the focal 15, the turbo, bpv, exhaust noise, there's not much to listen for they grip very well and that's what I was going for....hence the 255's

Looking real nice. The wheel shop that I ordered from called me back today on my order to let me know about the back order. Said it could be 60-90 days, which seems pretty crazy since they've apparently been on back order for a while. He offered to help me find a different set of black/reds but I'm still set on the MSR045's. Just going to keep my order set up with them because they have a good price and free shipping.

The only other wheel I've found that was interesting to me was the X5:F from Five Axis. I'd have to see it on an HHR or at least p'shopped onto one to decide if I'd really like it, but they don't make it in 5x110 as far as I can tell, so it doesn't really matter.

I love my KDWs. They are holding up really well also. I already have 10k miles on mine and am a very aggressive driver and love curves. I know I dont have the power you SS guys have, but I am either on the gas(floored) or on the brakes, ok maybe not floored all the time just up to speed. LOL Anyways, the tires are great, I have no noise issues with my tread size, and wear for a ultra high performance summer tire is superb. I am running slightly higher tire pressure as the 32 psi didnt "feel" right for my style of driving. I am running 35-37 psi. I tried 40 but it was a little to much, granted there was no difference in tread wear from center to edge after running 40 psi for 5k miles. I still have 8/32 of tread left so I can easily see getting 30k miles out of these tires. I am curious to see if you have any road noise in your tread size. Just out of curiousity you "said" you got 245/40-18s, but the pick you took was of 255/40-18s, which did you get? If you got the 255/40-18s did they have problems getting them on the 8" wide rims?

i am running 255/40/18 KDW's in the front. the rear's are 225/40/18 pilot a/s plus........those are what's in the pictures. no fitment issues what so ever on the 8" wheels.....and no rubbing at all at stock ride height.
