SS on msr045's
After almost four months of waiting...I should be getting my black/red MSR045's shipped in the next week or so (finally!). The sales guy at the shop told me that he's expecting to receive the wheels from the factory soon, and that it's been a raging pain in the ass to get them to fulfill the order. They're apparently just not producing the wheel in black/red for some reason, so they're taking a set of the black/silver and having it painted at the factory. Hopefully I'll find out soon, since my money's been tied up in this since the end of February...I'm not really mad about it since they warned me it was an indefinite wait, and the sales guy has been pretty good about keeping it realistic. I'll post up a thread whenever I get 'em.
Sucks to keep re-posting non-news, but....
I'm STILL waiting to get my wheels delivered after ordering them in February. According to the shop I ordered from, the manufacturer is flat out refusing to deliver the 045 in black with red stripe. The sales guy has asked them repeatedly to ship the wheels to the shop without the stripe but with the proper paint so they can get it done themselves, and so far no luck.
The last two times I've called, the guy has given me the "I was just about to call you" treatment to tell me that the wheels are "about to get shipped to his store". I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt so far, and I want to think it really is the manufacturer holding everything up, but we'll see. Ideally in two weeks I'll have the wheels on the car...
