There's a place in So Calif that we like dealing with. And if you chose for tire and wheel package shipping is free to the house.

Ok, what tire. Yeah I'm driving a full sized vehicle but when I was running 17's I had the Hankook Ventus ST Rh06. I was so impressed with their handling, looks, and most of all price that when we jumped to the 20's, we ordered the same tire.

I've been very pleased with my Goodyear Assurance Triple Tred Tires.

Ok, I'm having trouble finding answers on this, but whatever everyone says about the stock Firestone Firehawks, my car handled SO good with them. Is there not a comperable replacement?

Think of my desires as this: pure handling. I don't care about rain, snow, ride, just handling!!

Thanks!

If your happy with the OEM tires why not just buy another set. Tire Rack has them.

For those of you with experience running the Goodyear Assurance Tripletreads:

Do you find that they produce more road noise than the stock tires?
How is the tread wear?
Do you notice any air loss in the tires?

I'm looking to replace my stock tires with the tripletreads later on this spring/summer and I've read many positive things about these tires but I've also heard negative things relating to the three questions above.

calgaryhhr.. I put Goodyear Triple Treds on my '06 LT on March 06, 2008 @ 55,850 miles. Today I have 85,010 miles and it's been a tad over 13 months.

Yes, they make slightly more noise than the stock tires... but after a short period of time we don't even notice it anymore. Different road surfaces will make more or less tire noise but can't do anything about that.

Tred wear so far has been extremely good. With almost 30,000 miles on them at the present rate I fully expect to get at least 85,000.

The most air loss I have seen is -1 PSI from the previous pressure check. I run them @ 38 psi normaly and check them at least once a month, usually more in nicer weather. I'll run 40 psi if I'm loaded to the roof on a 2,000 mile trip to Phoenix and then drop back to 38 when I get back home.

You didn't ask but I belive the winter snow & ice traction is far superior to the original tires and the plain wet road grip is awsome.

Skyeglen, I didn't ask about snow and ice traction because I know that they are greatly superior to the original Firehawks.

I used them last winter on my SS and the last 5 years on my GTP.

Road noise I do not notice any differeance and if you have the radio on anyway who hears tire noise. They are no more if quieter than the BFG OE tires.

Tread wear has been great under hash driving conditions. The wife drives the GTP hard. We got over 50K miles and that was twice as many as the original Comp TA radials that were on originally.

Air loss none other than due to seasonal temps at a pound or two.

As a whole I would recomend them to anyone. Goodyear has newer generations coming too so they will only get better and offer new features.

I have driven the Stones on several 09 HHRs. If you think they are good wait till you have a good tire on the.

The Hawks you have are not even popular with my friends at Firestone as they even make much better tires.

There are so many good options if all you want is handling. Check out the Tire Racks listings.
