Time for new tires.....
I was fortunate enough to get 95,683 miles out of my stock Firestone's (not saying they had much tread left), and just purchased a new set of BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S from Tire Rack. Discount tire direct may offer free shipping, however their tire prices are higher. At the end of the day it was less expensive to order from Tire Rack and due to location I received them in one day.
My car is lowered 2.25" in the front and 2.75" in the rear with springs that I had made. It rides fair to say the least, however I have been running lowered Bugs with narrowed beams and without shocks in the fronts since the early 80's so it does not effect me. These new BF Goodrich's ride great and handle well considering the setup. I cannot wait until winter to see how they perform as this was a huge downfall of the OEM Firestones.

You may check Sears web sight. I put new Good Years on my Panel a couple of weeks ago and they had the best price. If you purchased them on-line they had a buy 3 get 1 free deal going. Saved $127 myself.
You had to by on-line to get the one free. Did not apply in store.
