I have BFG KDW's on my Vette. They have great dry traction. Couldn't really tell you how good the wet traction is as I don't drive it in the rain. The only complaint I have about them is that they are noisey.

That's a common complaint it seems, but I don't notice any excessive road noise. (Perhaps your exhaust isn't loud enough?)

Very good wet traction, cuts right through the water.

Plus the tread pattern is....

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like the BFGoodrich KDW (new "version 2") is the choice. Read lots of reviews and virtually everyone that has them is planning on buyng the same tire again. I notice it shows up a lot on Hot Rod Magazine featured cars too. Looks like all sizes are made in USA (contrary to the Goodyears where most of the performance tires seem to be made in Germany) The noise issue was mentioned often, but I have a good sound system and a full 3" Hahn exhaust, so quiet is not a priority with me. Knew you guys would come through with good ideas.

Anything has to be better than the stock tires. Driving to work yesterday in a downpour, it was all I could do to keep it on the road. Almost hydroplaned several times.

Just got the Bridgestone KDW's installed and they have noticeably better hook-up in 2nd gear than the OEM. Also stop noticeably better. Cornering seems improved also. I was not quite down to the wear bars at 30,000 miles, but glad I swapped for new. As expected there is more road noise with this tire pattern, not a big deal to me.

Most Goodyear tires sold in North America are made in the states and Canada. Few are imported from Europe unless it is one of the odd lines they sell here and there. It is too expensive to make them there and ship them here.

Cool! I'll have to keep these in mind for my next "summer set". If you get a chance C2, can you post a pic or two of them with those nice Brembos you have? I'm interested in exactly what the (new "version 2") tread looks like...
