The 32 for the SS might be an attempt to soften the FE5 ride quality,

At 35 psi the 18” ride is a little rougher I just have to find a comfortable setting, that pressure light came in while Sweetie was in the drivers seat so , yea , I get an earful because the 07 never had that light in, I said , Sweetie, Oldblue didn’t have TPMS!

I would not advise running tires that have a 32 PSI max on the sidewall on a car that wants 35 PSI on the placard. That probably is part of the speed rating. The danger is that the bead might blow off the rim, I have seem broken beads on tires; even had one try to decapitate me whilst mounting on a machine.
Don, Still curious how to modify the TPMS PSI setting. Can a HPTuner access that area?

The 18" is also an EXTRA Load tire which can make a slight difference in ride.

With temperature swings like that you just have to make sure you are Not Underinflated when it's cold.
This is when the TMPS is a plus to have.
I have to tell my Oil Change place... a Local Chevy Dealer, Not to Check the Tires or Air Filter every time I take it in for service. (3000) miles.
They look at the Recommended Pressure and want to change it every time.
Just Grease the End Link fittings and change the Oil and Filter ….. PERIOD.
