A 255/45/17 specs out to 26.04 inches. That would fill up the wheelwell nicely. Going with anything shorter will have a shorter sidewall and harsher ride. Plus, the shorter tire wouldn't look as good. It would have that "bicycle tire" look.

Any time you change rims and tire size you'll still need to try them out 1st for clearance.

 

threw them on today, no problem with rubbing although they do extend past fenders bout 3/4 of an inch. and i dont like it, the back look like they stick out further. those damn adapters really make a huge difference, will probably end up trading them for 5x110 rims. bummer cuz they really look sharp and theres no marks on them...
