Trying to run some bigger tires

Hi there i was wondering if P215/70r16s would fit on my stock hhr. They were free tires and i need them for this winter, but i was worried about clearance issues with turning but as well as height. I looked in a few other fourums but didnt find what i was looking for. Thanks to anyone that can help

No. Those are approximately 27.85" tall. The max is 26.3", better to be safe at 26.2"

If you are real brave, spacers might make it possible. Not recommended.
The clearance problem is the bottom of the strut spring mount, stock tires only have a quarter inch or less clearance

Sleeper showed just a pencil width with his 225/50R17 tires

Not. Even. Close. I didn't even bother to put that size on my reference chart.

I do like 205/60R16 for LS/LT in snow and rain. They're a little narrower and taller than stock, but the speedo is still accurate, maybe better.

No
even if spacers
even if it fits in height
a tall tire will grind the inside of the fender when turning
