I guess my question has gotten away from us. The tires are rubbing on something meaning I can not run them. My question now is there a difference in the wheel wells of the SS and the LS? Tire Rack is giving me a hard time stating there is no reason for them not to fit?....thanks

Well, the SS, LT, and LS all use the same inner fender hardware. The same part numbers fit all of them, so a wheel that fits the SS should fit the LS, but a wheel that fits the LS won't work on some SS's.(Those with the Brembo brakes)

Pull a front wheel and look for signs of rubbing on the fender liner and the lower spring perch. The spots will be fairly obvious, paint rubbed off, dirt rubbed off, bare metal showing

If the Tire Rack still has the tires, look at them carefully too. Pay attention to the inner sidewalls and the shoulder area of the tread on the inside of tire, take some pics if you can and post them up.

Ok, so my reading comprehension was in the fail zone. Should have said 18, but still that doesn't explain the rubbing...

10 mm wider tire on a 1/2 an inch wider rim with 40 mm offset would cause the tire to rub on the strut !

Well if its metal on metal rubbing, the tires aren't the problem. When you put the wheels on did you spin them to make sure they clear the calipers? And double check the lugs are tight.

Running them on the front is not a option, would they be OK for the rear?

Try them and see how they work. The tire shop should be able to figure out where the interference is on the front - it really isn't rocket science. Call the manager of the shop and see what he can suggest.
