Well, it happened. I got my first speeding ticket in my HHR. lol..Actually my first ticket in about 8 years. Got caught going 50 in a 30. D'OH! Happened on my street. NEEEEEVER cops on my street....except today. I was less than a 1/4 of a block from my home. Comedy Defensive Driving Time! On the bright side, I'll get two free tickets to any standup comedy show at the comedy club.

 

Ouch that sux. Did they get you with the radar gun? How were you towards the officer? I've talked myself out of a ticket going 95 in a 65 zone. The officer lowered my speed to going 69 in a 65. So it saved me a few hundered.

 

Its the end of the month, quota time. Too bad about the ticket, those always suck.

 

Comedy Defensive Driving? You Texans seem to have some odd things and laws in your state. At least from a North Easterners perspective.

 

Oh yeah. Sit back, relax for 6 hours and laugh your butt off. Then tada! Ticket gone. lol

 

Yup. They got me on a radar gun. Doggone motorcycle cop. I was nice to the guy. I probably would've been able to talk myself out of the ticket if I wasn't so far over the speed limit.

 

Yup that def. sux. I don't know about Tex but Cali, after fines, traffic school, fees...your talkin $400-500 If you want it off your record...

we have defensive driving- 1 a year
deferred adjudication- pay the cost of the ticket, no tickets for 45 to 90 days depending on area. take it back notarized and then ticket all gone

 

Gotta love that Texas justice system huh? I've had defensive driving, deferred adjudication and several I've talked my way out of or had the judge dismiss... I've been stopped three times in my HHR so far and no tickets *knocks on wood*....
