Yeah, the ecotec is a peppy little engine. The 2.2 is no slouch compared to cars I've owned in the past. It has as much HP as the '83 Thunderbird I had long ago that I thought was a big powerful car.

No, technology in 1983 was not what it is today. Who knows, in a couple more decades 160hp 1.0L engines may be the norm.

i would not doubt it, but ill tell ya the electronics in cars today are aggrivating. like my hhr has the stupid ignition issue where the keys sticks. because of the parking sensor in the shift console.. so i have to push the release button INSIDE the steering column which they conveniently placed an access hole for my finger... and just modding period but if your a good tuner or know someone who is the benefits of a good ecu tune are substantial..

takin it to dave gill tomorrow for my bumper to bumper service for FREE along with getting my valve train looked at. has a tick to it and i dont like it...

If your HHR is an 09, you should receive a letter from Chevy stating your key sticking issue is a recall on 09s. You can take it to a chevy dealership to get it fixed free of charge. I just dropped my 09 LT off today to get it fixed, and it only has the drivetrain warranty left on it.

mine is an 07 certified pre-owned. i have bumper to bumper for a year. and a 2 year drivetrain warranty. included are 2 years of free oil changes. but yea im not happy with it. befor i found the button on youtube i was quite pissed having to sit in my car like a jackass tryin to get my key out for 5-10 mins... i need mental pain compensation... lmao
