Any kind of noticible modification to a vehicle around these parts will prompt every toolbag guy <25 to wanna go. I can't say that I haven't gone with them from time to time, but that was many moons ago...happened ALL the time when I had my SHO's. HHR, not so much (yet).

The only people that try to get me to race are the kids with ricers. Anybody else knows I don't have any real meat under the hood.

It happened to me with some kids at a red light and I was stupid and took the bait....
I have the very expensive ticket and attorney bill to prove it!

Rarely ever happens to me and when it does I rarely respond except for one time on the way home from Jackson. We had just got on the on ramp to the highway and an 87/88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe comes up from behind us and flies by and immediately gets over in front of us. We both exit this highway onto another highway that is 2 lanes in 1 direction. He gets over in the other lane and slows down. I keep driving normal and pass them. They then get back behind me. Remember my car is completely debadged other than the plate that says "THHRBO" so I'm thinking they are trying to figure out what the car is. There is a stoplight on the highway and we end up at a red light. They pull up beside us and just kind of look over. I put the car in comp. mode and left them at the light. Had one of these ----> the rest of the way home.

All I've got is the 09 ls and when I'm at a light in Brooklyn on my way home to LI this snap/crakle/pop rice mobile looks over at me. I sort of nod, put the mp3 on SpiderBaits tune of Black Betty, put all the windows down at once (switches on the door), slip it into 1st, throttle jump the car for a second, then as the light turns green and the rice burner farts down the road like it just had Taco Bell, I put my turn signal on and make a right.....

PRICELESS!

A varied phase from the '70s - "Keep on Cruizin'"
