I’m going to suggest just the pry bar to hold the crank from turning, you shouldn’t need the socket and breaker bar , these photos are from removing and replacing the harmonic balancer

The VVT solenoids go into those 2 round holes you can see just below the timing chain, between the camshaft sprockets

That new 2.4 block with the head gasket in place, note there is no oil passageway for the VVT solenoids, those are in the cylinder head.
