Need new power steering motor

I have read the excellent threads on how to replace the power steering motor in my 07 HHR Panel LS. I have been looking for the part online all evening and except for some used motors on Ebay and Amazon, which I don't want, can't find it. I looked at GM Parts Direct and my local dealer online, it seems everything but the motor is available. Anybody know where I can get one?

The part number for the motor has changed to 19257875.

A quick search turned up the following vendors with it listed.....

http://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm...-19257875.html

http://www.gmpartseast.com/parts/gm-...motor-kit.html

http://www.hendrickgmparts.com/OEMPa.../19257875.html

Unfortunately due to the late hour here, I couldn't call any to confirm availability.

Thanks for the help. My power steering situation is like others I have read about - the warning flashes, then it goes out, and comes back when I shut off and restart the car. I haven't checked any fuses, etc, don't see the need since it keeps coming back. I am just going to change out what I see as a defective motor with a hopefully improved part and save the receipts. I hope I am thinking right.

Sounds like you are on the right track - hose are typical symptoms of the motor starting to fail as it warms up. Keep us posted on how it goes.

I gather you already found the excellent How-To writeup by Stryker on replacing the motor - here is the link anyways for others that may be following this thread :)

I got the motor from GM Parts Giant for about $85. Crammed myself up under the dash and changed it out - watch out when it drops out, it is heavy - swapped it out, and everything is great again. Thanks for the help! If it does it again it will be a breeze.

I hope you saved your receipt, so you can claim it under the special extended warranty.
