Sadly, I traded in my 2008 HHR LT in August. It only had 237k miles on it, but I felt it was time to go. I could feel another bearing going out on the driver's front. Fortunately, I found a 2011 HHR LT with less than 40k miles on it. It has the 2.4 in it, and some other upgrades. I'll have to see how many miles I can get on this one. Happy motoring! Rich

My 09' just hit 110XXX miles. I am a heavy driver as of this last year, putting on a little over 25K miles in the last six months.
So far I've had the following work done:
New drums
New roters
Pads
Two batteries
Three sets of head lamps
Break lamps
Power steering motor
Shocks and struts
Speakers
Cabin air filter
Oil changes every month
Three sets of tires
I still have a few things left to do ASAP.
New plugs
Air filter change
Drive and accessory belt change
Transmission flush
I just wish I was more mechanically inclined so I could do more of this work myself.

Up over 180,000 miles now and still plugging along. 2008 LS with no options. (bought it new that way)
Very little maintenance required thus far. Put front brakes on twice, rear brakes once, headlight lamps, battery, wipers, and a new set of plastic wheel covers after Walmart stripped all the plastic nuts on the oem ones. (was on a trip and they were my only option for a new tire)
I've never changed out any suspension or steering parts which is surprising considering that lots on the forum have had issues with them + we live on a rough dirt road.
I've overall been happy with this car and would buy it over again if they still made it. Being the Trax (closest thing to it?) is made in Korea, not likely to get that. We've been looking at a replacement but decided we like the car enough to just keep driving it for now. Still reliable.

Just bought a 2011, with 118,000 on it, little over a month ago. Third day of owning, engine light comes on. Seems to be the cam timing solenoids. Got them on order, and will replace air filter, and plugs while I'm at it.
