Oil leak on back side, rear, of motor
So my wife's '06 HHR 2LT with a 2.4, and 120,000 miles is developing a slow but steady oil leak on the back side of the motor, and it is leaking down right where the motor mounts to the transmission.
At first, and after reading many of the posts, I thought it was the oil pressure sending unit. But, that is on the front side of the engine, and that side of the engine is spotless; not even a hint of any oil seepage. The back side is clean also under the valve cover gasket, which I replaced several months ago. I have also done the sensors on the top of the head.
So, any ideas what this could be other than the seam where the halves of the block are mounted together?
Thanks!
Joe

Check the TSB thread. Your car may be covered under the one about a bolt hole that was drilled too deep. Sorry, my internet connection is too slow right now for me to use the SEARCH box for you. (just a fact, not a snipe)
