5 day review of GM stage tune....CONFUSED!

Day one: Really impressed. When going WOT in 1st gear, traction control activates and "low traction" comes on in DIC. WOT with traction off in 1st gear will spin the tires. 3rd gear torque will set you back in the seat.

Between day one and day five I have made many runs trying to master the "no lift shift" feature.

Day five: WOT does not activate "low traction" in 1st gear, WOT with traction off does not spin the tires (I tried 10 times). All this was tested on the same road under like weather conditions. Seat of the pants feel for 3rd gear torque is not even close to the same (OK, this may be a little subjective).

My thoughts are to either take it back to the dealer for another re-flash, or disconnect the battery for an extended period to test my theory of this thing learning down what it calculates to be too much.

Is anyone else with the tune having the same issue?

No issues here,,runs just as well as it did day 1. (auto). I'd be looking for a leak,is the boost gage reading the same?Erratic? If they didn't get back together right its probably loose somewhere along the IC piping. This will screw with the sensor readings.

If you lost power it's because something failed or is loose. what is your boost reading? If it's 19-21 you are fine if not, something is wrong. Take it back to the dealer. Warranty Work rocks.

Just got mine done Sat. I like it...I figure around Thurs. or Fri. after it has had time to learn the GM upgrade I'd throw the H/P Tuners back on it and tweak it some more....I agree with the others maybe something like the aircharge intake hose is loose or not installed correctly....maybe cracked now it's been known to happen....As you can see it's a rubber hose to plastic to rubber again... How much boost will this really hold?
