stage upgrade 5 speed review
had the hhr for a year.
got the install this week $720 cdn out the door.
shifting between 1-2 was always sluggish , getting it to rev above 3500 started to sound restrictive 3-4 would open a bit more. anything above 4000rpm just didnt feel smooth. psi never more than 15.
now with the tune 1-2 rev freely to 5000 rpm and shifting is smother, getting out of the neighbourhood can be done without the transmission jerking and fighting the extra rpm.
basically that was the only issue 1-2 gear bogging. the engine and transmission flow and spin together now able to exceed 20 psi. the biggest difference is leaving the stoplight. highway on ramp , things happen quicker and breather easier.
for the price which is coming down no complaints. if you added a aftermarket tune which should be easy enough in the future, i cant imagine a better upgrade without swapping mechanical parts.
